Pioneering Africa’s First Green Steel Mill
Located in Mandini, KwaZulu-Natal, our flagship facility integrates renewable energy sources and HYBRIT-aligned hydrogen technology to produce stainless steel with dramatically reduced CO₂ intensity.
Our Approach Includes:
- Fossil-free electricity via on-site solar PV systems
- Use of recycled steel inputs to support circular manufacturing
- Deployment of HYBRIT-process technologies for hydrogen-based sponge iron
- Energy-efficient electric furnaces
- Certification and issuance of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs)
