UNITED STEEL
Where Industrial Strength Begins
United Steel is UHI’s flagship division and a driving force in South Africa’s steel and stainless-steel industries. With a projected production capacity of up to 400,000 tonnes per annum, we manufacture high-performance long products and stainless-steel grades designed for durability, precision, and versatile application.
Our steel powers infrastructure, automotive innovation, aviation safety, energy systems, healthcare advancements, and more, across four continents.

- Stainless steel grades: 200, 300, 400 series & Duplex
- Long products: billets, bars, wire rods, rounds, and squares

United Heavy Engineering provides end-to-end industrial engineering services, delivering bespoke solutions for high-demand sectors such as energy, infrastructure, transport, and manufacturing.
With precision machining and structural fabrication capabilities, we build large-scale components designed to perform under extreme conditions.

United Energy is UHI’s renewable energy and sustainability division, powering our plants and partners through scalable clean energy initiatives. From solar PV to green hydrogen integration, we build future-ready infrastructure to reduce carbon intensity across the value chain.

From Legacy to Leadership
Our journey began decades ago with a single foundry in Mumbai. Through bold vision and generational expertise, the business grew into an international enterprise, culminating in the formation of United Heavy Industries in 2017.
Today, UHI integrates three powerhouse divisions:
